Dosage of organic cardoon root capsules

• Adults and children aged 12 and over:
  • Take two capsules per day without chewing with plenty of water
  • Interval: approx. 12 hours (e.g. at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.)
  • Distance to meals: at least 1/2 hour (before and after)
  • Duration of use: Six weeks or longer
  • No restrictions during breastfeeding
  • There is no evidence that teasel is harmful in any way during pregnancy. It also does not contain any laxative substances in any significant concentration. Lyme disease is ALWAYS more risky and harmful during pregnancy. We still recommend talking to your doctor before taking it.
• Children under 12 years:
  • Swallow one capsule in the morning with plenty of water
  • Distance to meals: at least 1/2 hour (before and after)
  • Alternative if the capsule cannot be swallowed: open the capsule by gently pressing and turning it and administer the granules with a small spoonful of honey. Not because honey tastes sweet and good - that's just the side effect. Honey transports the teasel well into the blood. So it's a win-win situation 🙂
• The teasel capsules in dogs:
  • One capsule per day with food or treat
  • Alternatively: Open the capsule and feed the concentrate
• The teasel capsules in horses:
  • For single dose: 3 capsules per day with food/treats or pure
  • For twice-daily administration: 2 capsules per day with food/treats or pure. Interval: approx. 12 hours
  • Alternative: Open the capsule and feed the concentrate
• The teasel capsules in cats:
  • Basically, Lyme disease is very rare in cats due to their physiology. Nevertheless, it is not impossible.
  • For cats, one capsule a day is sufficient. This should be opened and given with the food.
