Kardenwelt: Wild teasel in premium quality

Years ago we were private looking for a good teasel root tinctureWe found products with often very weak approach ratio and thus low root content. So we thought: This can be done better.

A lot of research followed, as well as some Experiments with the wild teasel and the Storl's approach ratio, until the time finally came: We were able to produce genuine cardoon root full tincture in organic qualitySo we first founded the Kardenshop – and then the current Teasel World.

Here also the answers to your questions:

  • Yes the Organic certification is officially inspected annually on site.
  • Yes, the picture shows one of our fields in Bergatreute. It is used exclusively to obtain seeds for our farmers. It was taken at the beginning of July. You can tell by the pink ring around the head of the wild teasel.

Why is the approach ratio so important for your purchasing decision?

For plant extracts a ratio determines the quality of the extract. More precisely: the ratio between liquid and plant.

For example, a lot of liquid and little plant results in a weaker extract. In the teasel world we use Liquid and plant in equal volumes – this creates a Full tincture.

It is important to know that the Shares are not considered by weight. Rather by volumeFor the 1:1 ratio, this means: One liter of carrier liquid must be mixed with at least 700 grams of roots.

Another tip: Pay attention to the Alcohol content of tinctures from freshly harvested rootsIt is not decisive, but it is a good indicator. The more freshly harvested roots are used in the production, the lower the alcohol content of a plant extract is.

A lot of effort for a lot of product in the product

Have you ever tried a plant extract? Then you know very well that the mentioned A 1:1 ratio can only be achieved with great effort becomes.

The graphic shows you clearly:
With a batch ratio of 1:1, the batch vessel full to the brim with carrier fluid and teasel roots – the full tincture is created. For smaller or small ratios like 1:2, 1:5 or even 1:10, the vessel is only filled with the liquid. The proportion of plants filled in is significantly lower – it no full tincture is produced.

With our teasel world tinctures you can be sure: more roots in the approach – more roots in the product.

And if something doesn't seem right, please just let us know. We will correct this. Fast and unbureaucratic.

A positive ecological balance is important to us

Organic seal

When it comes to wild teasels, we have been relying on organically certified farmers for years. In addition to the official inspection bodies, we also ensure on-site compliance with the relevant rules.

Packaging ecology

We use customized packaging made of recycled paper for almost all shipments. It goes without saying that we do not use any plastic filling materials.

Shipping ecology

We ship as climate-friendly as possible: DHL supports us in this and uses, for example, electric vehicles for deliveries. Our common goal: zero emissions.

Green energy

Kardenwelt is sustainable, including when it comes to electricity: we cover 100% of our energy needs from renewable sources, with a mix of wind, hydropower and solar energy.
