Easter bread

Zutaten die Sie benötigen

  • 500g flour
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 packet of fresh yeast
  • 200ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g melted and cooled butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • some grated lemon peel
  • 100g raisins
  • 100g fruit mix (candied lemon peel, orange peel, cherry)
  • 50 g melted butter for spreading
  • possibly sugar crystals
  • 1 teaspoon of cardoon root tincture

Zubereitung

  • Put flour in bowl
  • Mix yeast with 50 ml lukewarm milk until smooth and add it to the middle of the flour
  • Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of sugar over it.
  • Let rise for 20 minutes
  • Then knead all ingredients (remaining milk, sugar, eggs, salt, cardoon powder, butter) with the dough hook until the dough comes away from the bowl (approx. 4 - 5 minutes)
  • Cover and keep warm for about 50 minutes
  • Knead the raisins and fruits with the dough hook
  • Pour the dough into a greased and floured form (e.g. 26 cm springform pan)
  • Cut diagonally with a sharp knife
  • Cover and let rise for another 20 minutes
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for about 45 minutes
  • Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar if desired
