Carrot cake
Zutaten die Sie benötigen
- 250g carrots finely grated
- 5 eggs separated
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 pinch of salt
- 250 ground almonds
- 100g flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 200g icing sugar
- 2 tablespoons water or orange juice
- 12 marzipan carrots
- 1 teaspoon of cardoon root tincture
Zubereitung
- Beat egg whites until stiff
- Beat egg yolks with sugar until fluffy
- Mix flour, almonds, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and cardoon powder
- Stir into the egg yolk mixture
- Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites
- Stir in carrots
- Pour into a greased and floured springform pan (diameter 26 cm)
- Bake at 175 degrees for about 60 minutes
- Let cool down
- Mix powdered sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of water or orange juice
- Spread it over the cooled cake
- Decorate with carrots
