From 2007 to around 2010, the Karden shop in the quaint Neustadt a. d. Aisch - in Middle Franconia - did not yet have its own cultivation areas. We were basically experimenting rather wildly. Organic? Sure - but not yet with certification and all that stuff :-). Well, in any case, the garden had to be used at short notice. Friends, colleagues, and sometimes even relatives helped us with cultivation and harvest. Thanks to EVERYONE! You are partly responsible for today's Karden world. It was definitely a great time. Lyme disease hardly held us back back then. Just like today. The goal was to determine the best spacing of the plants, the most suitable cultivation period, and of course the most sensible techniques for successful Karden cultivation. Sometimes we had more success, sometimes less. Occasionally, the voles had more success than we did :-). But: All the experience we share today with our farmers is essentially still based on the methods developed back then. Sometimes a bit more advanced - but basically the same. And this is what such a cultivation looked like. Not very large? We know. At least THAT is different today. More photos of cultivation and processing? Kardenwelt – Photo Gallery
