Dosage of the organic burdock root capsules for humans and animals:
- Adults and children from 12 years:
- Take two capsules per day unchewed with sufficient water.
- Interval: approx. 12 hours (e.g., at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.).
- Interval to meals: at least 1/2 hour (before and after).
- Duration of intake: six weeks or longer.
- No restrictions during breastfeeding.
- There is no evidence that burdock is harmful in any way during pregnancy. It also does not contain any significant laxative substances. Lyme disease is riskier and more harmful in pregnancy in EVERY case. We still recommend discussing with your doctor before taking it.
- Children under 12 years:
- Swallow one capsule in the morning with enough water.
- Interval to meals: at least 1/2 hour (before and after).
- Alternative if the capsule cannot be swallowed: Open the capsule by gently pressing and twisting and administer the granulate with a small spoonful of honey. Not because honey is sweet and tastes good - that's just a side effect. Honey transports the burdock well into the blood. So a win-win situation :-)
- The burdock capsules for dogs:
- One capsule per day with food or treat.
- Alternatively: Open the capsule and feed the concentrate.
- The burdock capsules for horses:
- For once daily administration: Give 3 capsules per day with food/treat or pure.
- For twice daily administration: Give 2 capsules per day with food/treat or pure. Interval: approx. 12 hours.
- Alternative: Open the capsule and feed the concentrate.
- The burdock capsules for cats:
- Basically, Lyme disease is very rare in cats due to their physiology. Nevertheless, it is not impossible.
- For cats, one capsule a day is enough. This should be opened and given with the food.
