How can I track my package?

You can always track your package via at least one of the following methods:

What should I take? The capsules? Or tea? Or better the full tincture?

Which form of wild teasel (capsules, tinctures, tea) you use is best decided based on your life situation. Cost-wise, all variants are roughly balanced. Full tinctures according to Storl: The full tinctures can be dosed very flexibly and are therefore suitable for beginners to get to know them or to experiment with the dosage. Longer applications are possible – even over months or years. Most tinctures contain a small amount of alcohol (25% vol.) and are therefore, for example, not suitable for children or pregnant women. However, they can be stored without refrigeration for up to three years, even after opening. The alcohol-free variant must be stored cool and has a guaranteed shelf life of about half a year. It is especially the best form of intake for children because it tastes very sweet. Organic Karden root capsules: Are you looking for alcohol-free wild Karden that is maximally suitable for everyday use? Then the organic Karden root capsules are ideal. One capsule corresponds to 30 drops of the full tincture and is also a fully effective substitute. Ideally, store the capsules cool or at least protected from sunlight. In development, we placed value on a small capsule size. With category “1” we succeeded well with a lot of content. Even people who have trouble swallowing capsules usually have little difficulty with these – and it often works well for children too. And if it should be easier: The capsules can be opened. Then the contents must be stirred into a spoonful of honey. This promotes absorption and partly replaces the capsule shell. Dried Karden roots / leaves: The root tea replaces the tinctures and capsules, whereas the leaf tea contains even more bitter substances and thus supports normal detoxification. Karden root balm: The balm is intended for external use and penetrates locally to areas that are harder to reach with purely systemic treatment (capsules, tinctures, or tea). Severely affected joints or repeatedly problematic body areas can benefit better from this.

What works best, capsules or tinctures?

This can be easily answered: All forms of wild Karden have the same effect. So you can decide freely. One capsule corresponds to 30 drops of the alcoholic full tincture or 50 drops of the alcohol-free variant.

How should I dose my product to achieve the best result?

Basically, the dosage is very individual. However, based on our experience, we have developed general recommendations. You can also find these instructions on the category pages below the products.

What does the term "full tincture according to Storl" mean?

The term “full tincture” is coined by Wolf-Dieter Storl in the book “Naturally Healing Lyme Disease” and means that a tincture is only a true full tincture if it is made with the maximum possible amount of roots. The so-called “ratio between liquid and plant” determines the quality of the extract. In short: A lot of liquid and little plant results in a weaker extract. In the Kardenwelt, we use equal volumes of liquid and plant – this creates a full tincture. It is important to know that the proportions are not considered by weight but by volume. For the 1:1 preparation ratio, this means: One liter of carrier liquid must be prepared with at least 700 grams of roots. Want to know more? Then head here to Kardenwelt Quality

Are the drops a medicine? Will my health insurance cover the costs?

"No" and "Usually no". Wild burdock has no proven medical effect and is not a medicinal plant. The tinctures and capsules are dietary supplements. Some private insurances reimburse the costs (sometimes only partially) as part of services through alternative practitioners or private medical prescriptions. It is best to ask your health insurance in advance. However, the chances of reimbursement are rather low.

Which service do you ship with and how long does it take?

We offer a free, secure, and fast shipping method in Germany and throughout the EU for all orders. Usually, packages are shipped via UPS, but sometimes also via DHL. We only use other logistics companies for pallet shipping or in direct consultation with you. You can always track your package via at least one of the following options: If an order arrives Monday to Friday by about 3 p.m., we ship on the same day if the goods are available. Usually, we also ship on Saturday around noon. However, we cannot guarantee this as we are a family business… But we certainly try our best. Regular transit times for Kardenwelt packages: Eight out of ten packages are delivered in Germany the next working day (does not apply to islands). Within the EU, delivery can take about two to five working days. Austria is the fastest here with an average of two working days. Do you need your product very urgently? We also offer express shipping throughout the EU. You can select this during the online order (for a fee).

Which liquids do you use for maceration?

  • For the alcoholic tinctures: 37.5% organic vodka from Germany
  • For the alcohol-free tinctures: organic glycerin (E422)

Tinctures, capsules – what quantity corresponds to how much?

Here are some important key figures and comparison values:
  • 100ml of Kardenwelt tincture corresponds to about 2000 drops.
  • 100ml of Kardenwelt tincture (alcoholic) lasts about one month.
  • 100ml of Kardenwelt tincture (alcohol-free) lasts about 20 days.
  • 30 drops of tincture correspond to one capsule.

Do you import roots from China or other countries?

No. We have our own cultivation areas and some contract farmers in Germany, always organic certified. Burdock from China exists, no question. However, almost always without certification. In many cases, it is also other plants. In short: Our teasel is always fresh, has not traveled long distances, and is officially organic certified. So it simply makes no sense to import teasel from China or other parts of the world... and it would be completely against our and your quality standards.

The tincture doesn’t always taste the same, what could be the reason?

The manufacturing process is standardized and always the same. Apart from teasel roots, vodka, or glycerin, we use no additives. The different taste comes from the varying soil conditions of the fields and the different weather conditions. In regions of Germany, soils often differ greatly, which can lead to noticeably different tastes in individual production batches. That is the nature of a product from nature. There is simply no industrially uniform standard. And that's a good thing – at least we think so. One thing all Kardenwelt tinctures have in common: They are ORGANIC, free from preservatives and pesticides, intense, strong, and you can taste the Wild Teasel – one way or another. Still having a problem with a batch? Please contact us by phone or email. We always have individual solutions ready and are happy to help. We want your experience with Wild Teasel to be just as wonderful as ours.

How long are the products shelf-stable? And how should I store them?

Full tinctures according to Storl (alcoholic): Minimum shelf life from purchase: Three years (also for already opened goods) Storage: Dry and dark in a closed state. Full tinctures according to Storl (alcohol-free): Minimum shelf life from purchase: 1/2 year (also for already opened goods) Storage: Cool, dry, and dark in a closed state. Organic Teasel Root Capsules: Minimum shelf life from purchase: One year, usually longer (also for already opened goods) Storage: Dry and dark in a closed state. Dried Teasel Roots / Leaves: Minimum shelf life from purchase: One year (also for already opened goods) Storage: Dry and dark in a closed state. Teasel Root Balm: Minimum shelf life from purchase: 1/2 year, often longer. Storage: Ideally cool, dry, and dark.

Can I take antibiotics or other medications and teasel tincture at the same time?

Apart from the fact that it doesn't really make sense, since you already have the effect against Lyme disease, ALMOST all products can also be taken alongside antibiotic medications. The only exception: the alcoholic tinctures. Alcohol can negatively affect the medication's effectiveness and cause interactions. We strongly advise against taking them simultaneously. Much more important, however, is the intake AFTER a completed therapy. We recommend continuing with Wild Teasel – in any form – for at least the first six to eight weeks afterward. During this time, the immune system is still weakened by the antibiotic and can certainly use some support :-).
